Micha Benoliel is an entrepreneur with expertise in telecommunications and internet technologies. Prior to co-founding Open Garden Micha launched several converged technology services including the primary registrar for .tel, the domain dedicated to communications. Micha created the rich phonebook “CallByName” for iPhone and Android, managed SkypeIn and SkypeOut launches across UK and France, and created “Stand4U” a VOIP virtual switchboard. Micha catalyzes Open Garden.
Stanislav Shalunov is an internet engineer with a mathematics background. Stas designed and implemented the congestion control scheme LEDBAT now used by BitTorrent and responsible for a significant portion of the Internet’s traffic. LEDBAT emerged from Stas’s work at Internet2, where he also conducted research on net neutrality and Quality of Service (QoS) that formed the basis of the Internet2 Senate testimony on net neutrality. Stas brings deep thought leadership to Open Garden.
Greg Hazel is an expert software architect. Greg brings unique development insight to Open Garden and proven track record building global carrier class applications. Greg was the lead developer of the most popular BitTorrent client µTorrent, used by more than 100 million people. Greg’s experience building scalable P2P applications accelerates Open Garden engineering.
Szymon Jakubczak is currently working at Google. Szymon received a Ph.D. at MIT where he was a member of the NMS group, a part of CSAIL. Szymon works and projects include Barnacle Wifi Tether, a wireless tether for Android and a network coding based opportunistic routing protocol for wireless mesh networks. Szymon is advising Open Garden on all technical matters.
